Deuteronomy 13:13-15 NWT ...‘Good-for-nothing men have gone out from your midst that they may try to turn away the inhabitants of their city, saying: “Let us go and serve other gods,” whom you have not known,’ 14 you must also search and investigate and inquire thoroughly; and if the thing is established as the truth, this detestable thing has been done in your midst, 15 you should without fail strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword. Devote it and everything that is in it, and its domestic animals, to destruction at the edge of the sword.

Deuteronomy 13:13-15 GNB ...that some worthless people of your nation have misled the people of their town to worship gods that you have never worshiped before. (14) If you hear such a rumor, investigate it thoroughly; and if it is true that this evil thing did happen, (15) then kill all the people in that town and all their livestock too. Destroy that town completely.

And behold, if it is true, and the thing is certain, that such an abomination is done among you, (15) you shall surely strike those who live in that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it completely, and all that is in it, and all the cattle of it, with the edge of the sword.
