John 11:38-44 DRB
(38) Jesus therefore again groaning in himself, cometh to the sepulchre. Now it was a cave; and a stone was laid over it. (39) Jesus saith: Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith to him: Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he is now of four days. (40) Jesus saith to her: Did not I say to thee that if thou believe, thou shalt see the glory of God? (41) They took therefore the stone away. And Jesus lifting up his eyes, said: Father, I give thee thanks that thou hast heard me. (42) And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people who stand about have I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. (43) When he had said these things, he cried with a loud voice: Lazarus, come forth. (44) And presently he that had been dead came forth, bound feet and hands with winding bands. And his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said to them: Loose him and let him go.

John 11:38-44 BBE
(38) So Jesus, deeply troubled in heart, came to the place of the dead. It was a hole in the rock, and a stone was over the opening. (39) Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said, Lord, by this time the body will be smelling, for he has been dead four days. (40) Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you had faith you would see the glory of God? (41) So they took away the stone. And Jesus, looking up to heaven, said, Father, I give praise to you for hearing me. (42) I was certain that your ears are at all times open to me, but I said it because of these who are here, so that they may see that you sent me. (43) Then he said in a loud voice, Lazarus, come out! (44) And he who was dead came out, with linen bands folded tightly about his hands and feet, and a cloth about his face. Jesus said to them, Make him free and let him go.

John 11:38-44 ALT
(38) So Jesus, again being deeply moved in Himself, comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying upon it. (39) Jesus says, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of the one having died, says to Him, "Lord, already he stinks, for it is the fourth day [since he died]." (40) Jesus says to her, "I said to you that if you believe you will see the glory of God, did I not?" (41) Then they took away the stone from where the one having died was lying. And Jesus lifted His eyes upwards and said, "Father, I give thanks to You because You heard Me. (42) "Now, _I_ knew that You always hear Me, _but_ because of the crowd, the ones having stood around, I said [it], so that they shall believe [or, shall be convinced] that _You_ sent Me." (43) And having said these things, with a loud voice He cried out, "Lazarus, come out!" (44) And the one having died came out, [his] feet and hands having been bound with grave-clothes, and his face had been wrapped around with a facecloth. Jesus says to them, "Loose him, and allow [him] to be going."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation
