Matthew 15:3-11 CEV (3) Jesus answered: Why do you disobey God and follow your own teaching? (4) Didn't God command you to respect your father and mother? Didn't he tell you to put to death all who curse their parents? (5) But you let people get by without helping their parents when they should. You let them say that what they have has been offered to God. (6) Is this any way to show respect to your parents? You ignore God's commands in order to follow your own teaching. (7) And you are nothing but show-offs! Isaiah the prophet was right when he wrote that God had said, (8) "All of you praise me with your words, but you never really think about me. (9) It is useless for you to worship me, when you teach rules made up by humans." (10) Jesus called the crowd together and said, "Pay attention and try to understand what I mean. (11) The food that you put into your mouth doesn't make you unclean and unfit to worship God. The bad words that come out of your mouth are what make you unclean."

Matthew 15:3-11 GNB (3) Jesus answered, "And why do you disobey God's command and follow your own teaching? (4) For God said, 'Respect your father and your mother,' and 'If you curse your father or your mother, you are to be put to death.' (5) But you teach that if people have something they could use to help their father or mother, but say, 'This belongs to God,' (6) they do not need to honor their father. In this way you disregard God's command, in order to follow your own teaching. (7) You hypocrites! How right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you! (8) 'These people, says God, honor me with their words, but their heart is really far away from me. (9) It is no use for them to worship me, because they teach human rules as though they were my laws!' " (10) Then Jesus called the crowd to him and said to them, "Listen and understand! (11) It is not what goes into your mouth that makes you ritually unclean; rather, what comes out of it makes you unclean."

Matthew 15:3-11 GW (3) He answered them, "Why do you break the commandment of God because of your traditions? (4) For example, God said, 'Honor your father and your mother' and 'Whoever curses father or mother must be put to death.' (5) But you say that whoever tells his father or mother, 'I have given to God whatever support you might have received from me,' (6) does not have to honor his father. Because of your traditions you have destroyed the authority of God's word. (7) You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: (8) 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. (9) Their worship of me is pointless, because their teachings are rules made by humans.'" (10) Then he called the crowd and said to them, "Listen and try to understand! (11) What goes into a person's mouth doesn't make him unclean. It's what comes out of the mouth that makes a person unclean."

Matthew 15:3-11 NWT 3 In reply he said to them: "Why is it you also overstep the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4 For example, God said, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'Let him that reviles father or mother end up in death.' 5 But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or mother: "Whatever I have by which you might get benefit from me is a gift dedicated to God," 6 he must not honor his father at all.' And so you have made the word of God invalid because of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about you, when he said, 8 'This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.'" 10 With that he called the crowd near and said to them: "Listen and get the sense of it: 11 Not what enters into [his] mouth defiles a man; but it is what proceeds out of [his] mouth that defiles a man."

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
The Translations we quote are:

ALT - Analytical Literal Translation

ASV - American Standard Version (by the American revision committee in 1897).

Darby - 1889 Darby Bible

DRB - 1899 Douay-Rheims Bible

BBE - 1965 Bible in Basic English

LITV - Literal Translation of the Holy Bible

KJV - King James Version

MKJV - Modern King James Version

NWT - New World Translation
