Proverbs 4:14-24 GW ...Do not stray onto the path of wicked people. Do not walk in the way of evil people. (15) Avoid it. Do not walk near it. Turn away from it, and keep on walking. (16) Wicked people cannot sleep unless they do wrong, and they are robbed of their sleep unless they make someone stumble. (17) They eat food obtained through wrongdoing and drink wine obtained through violence. (18) But the path of righteous people is like the light of dawn that becomes brighter and brighter until it reaches midday. (19) The way of wicked people is like deep darkness. They do not know what makes them stumble. (20) My son, pay attention to my words. Open your ears to what I say. (21) Do not lose sight of these things. Keep them deep within your heart (22) because they are life to those who find them and they heal the whole body. (23) Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it. (24) Remove dishonesty from your mouth. Put deceptive speech far away from your lips.
Proverbs 4:14-24 GNB ...Do not go where evil people go. Do not follow the example of the wicked. (15) Don't do it! Keep away from evil! Refuse it and go on your way. (16) Wicked people cannot sleep unless they have done something wrong. They lie awake unless they have hurt someone. (17) Wickedness and violence are like food and drink to them. (18) The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come. (19) The road of the wicked, however, is dark as night. They fall, but cannot see what they have stumbled over. (20) My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen to my words. (21) Never let them get away from you. Remember them and keep them in your heart. (22) They will give life and health to anyone who understands them. (23) Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. (24) Never say anything that isn't true. Have nothing to do with lies and misleading words.
Proverbs 4:14-24 ESV ...Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. (15) Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on. (16) For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. (17) For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. (18) But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. (19) The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble. (20) My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. (21) Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. (22) For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. (23) Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. (24) Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you.
Proverbs 4:14-24 CEV ...Don't follow the bad example of cruel and evil people. (15) Turn aside and keep going. Stay away from them. (16) They can't sleep or rest until they do wrong or harm some innocent victim. (17) Their food and drink are violence and cruelty. (18) The lifestyle of good people is like sunlight at dawn that keeps getting brighter until broad daylight. (19) The lifestyle of the wicked is like total darkness, and they will never know what makes them stumble. (20) My child, listen carefully to everything I say. (21) Don't forget a single word, but think about it all. (22) Knowing these teachings will mean true life and good health for you. (23) Carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life. (24) Never tell lies or be deceitful in what you say.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
